Gunung Kawi Temple, Bali

Gunung Kawi is an 11th-century temple complex in Tampaksiring. The location is north east of Ubud in Bali, Indonesia. That is spread across either side of the Pakerisan river, for which the sound of water is always present in the scenary: fountains and plenty of greenery.

If a tranquil Bali is what you like, this place should be your destination. Although is not one of the most impressive temples in Bali, you have to visit it.

When going down the hundreds of high steps, you can admire the beautiful green rice fields and high coconut tree that surround it. When you reach the bottom, you can admire the beautiful 10 stone shrines that were carved in the stone.

It requires extra strength to climb back on the way home. Yet, the green rice field with its levels, cool air, small beautiful river, stone wall and the charm of the temple make every drop of sweat worth.

Happy holiday my friends….😀
